PATTI GILBERT
TOWNSHIP COMMISSIONER

Patti Gilbert is a 35-year township resident, served 9 years on East Pennsboro School Board, including as President. She is the proud parent of two East Pennsboro School District graduates. Patti retired in 2022 from a paralegal management position at Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Student Loan Agency. She has served in various church and ministry leadership positions, currently attends a local Methodist church, and is a board member of the Historical Society of East Pennsboro.
Patti is committed to leading with transparency, listening to and addressing citizens’ concerns, and reducing waste, costs and fees for taxpayers while prioritizing environmental protection associated with development.
"The primary issue in our Township is recent tax increases -- in the past 8 years the current commissioners (majority Republican) have doubled township real estate taxes by $2 million and voted for a 20% increase in taxes in 2025 alone. If our Democratic team is elected, we pledge to hold the line on taxes and fight wasteful spending, excessive fees and oppose the construction of a new multi-million-dollar new township building.
I base my ability to achieve this on my record as a 9-year School Board Director. I served from 2003-2008 and from 2017-2021 on the East Pennsboro School Board. I am proud of my record of caring about the teachers, students and families of our community. I helped to save and restore the pool (which was closed by the Republican school board) and fought alongside many families to keep West Creek Elementary open. I led the opposition to exorbitant facility use fees that were recommended by the district administration and Republican school board members. I also opposed wasteful spending on excessive construction projects which put the district back into over $50million in debt, currently being paid off at a cost of over $3million per year. My hope is that the voters of East Pennsboro will allow me to apply the same common sense conservative fiscal strategies to leadership as a Township Commissioner."
