Jacqueline Smith-Bennett is a lifelong Democrat and resident of Camp Hill (East Pennsboro Township). She has served Cumberland County as an elected East Pennsboro Township precinct captain and, since 2002, as Cumberland County’s elected representative on the Pennsylvania Democratic Party State Committee.

Jacqueline is a respected and established leader within the Pennsylvania Democratic Party. She co-founded the Party’s Black Caucus and, in 2016, was appointed Secretary of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party, serving under two State Party Chairmen. She has also served three consecutive terms as Treasurer of the South Central Regional Caucus and is currently working to establish a scholarship for future Democratic leaders. In addition, she is an active member of several constituency caucuses and a regular panelist at the PDP Women’s Caucus Candidates Forum.

Beyond her political work, Jacqueline is an experienced emcee, an ordained minister, and the owner of GREAT Celebrations: Ceremony Specialist. She is a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and is married to Jerry Bennett, a jazz enthusiast and advocate for racial and social justice.
